I would prefer that NRC remain as its own organization, BUT, if the choice is "merge or die" then I would select merge (however, the poll was only one question...). As long as I have been involved with NRC (since 1994) they seem to have had money problems of one type or another. This is chronic. I am surprized that it keeps coming up and is not addressed operational once and for all.

Concerned that both NRC and KAB are pandering too much to anti-environmental, private corporate profit interests instead of serving public, non-profit, taxpayer interests in the challenge to protect, preserve and save America´s diminishing, fragile ecology.

I think this poll is a little premature unless you just want to measure gut reaction. I hope NRC members wait until the actual proposal is presented before making up their minds. I think it is regrettable that the NRC has come to this and I voted "no" because I do not want NRC to merge with KAB. Nonetheless, under the circumstances, I do not yet know whether or not it is best for NRC to merge. I will wait until more information is released to make a final determination.
