Delnick joined Greenstar in 2008 as CFO and was recently promoted to CEO by Greenstar´s parent company, NTR plc.
"I am delighted to announce that Matt Delnick has been appointed CEO of Greenstar. In the 18 months that Matt has been CFO of Greenstar, he has demonstrated strong leadership and has positioned the business well for future success," said Mike Wynne, chairman of the Greenstar Recycling Division of NTR.
Greenstar recently opened a new materials recovery facility in San Antonio capable of sorting 20,000 tons per month. NTR, a multi-national renewable energy group, started in Ireland as infrastructure developer and operator in 1978, later moving into the renewable energy field. Now the company employs 4,100 people in the U.S., the United Kingdom and Ireland. The U.S. operations, Greenstar North America, began in 2007 and now process 2 million tons of recyclables at 16 facilities.
Delnick replaces Michael Simmons, who served as CEO of the company from January to March. Previously, Mike Wynne, Chairman of NTR’s recycling division, had served as interim CEO. For more information, visit www.greenstar-na.com.
