Va. fly ash recycler to be featured on television show

March 10 -- Fly ash recycler PMI Ash Technologies will be featured in an episode of "The Profile Series" at 7 a.m. Thursday on the Discovery Channel. The broadcast will be available later in the day on YouTube.com.

"The Profile Series" segment will focus on coal ash technologies and recycling. The segment includes footage from the company´s installation at the Chesapeake Energy Center in Chesapeake, Va., where fly ash is captured and recycled into a partial replacement for Portland cement.

The segment will be available at www.youtube.com/user/profilesseries.

"Since the CBO at the Chesapeake Energy Center has been operational, we have been able to avoid overall 400,000 tons of fly ash going into the landfill and have as a result reduced CO2 emissions by approximately 300,000 tons," says Kyle Crake, president PMI Ash Technologies.

Headquartered in Cary, N.C., PMI currently has installations in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions of the U.S.
