Company wires new homes for vehicle charging stations

March 9 -- KB Home is now offering the option of wiring new homes to accommodate charging stations for electric vehicles.

The new option in the company´s Built to Order line of homes "is designed to ease the future installation of a station to charge an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle conveniently at home," the Los Angeles-based home builder said.

"It´s a great feature for homebuyers who currently drive electric cars, or for those who want to build their new home to accommodate these cars in the future," CEO Jeffrey Mezger said.

KB Home has built more than 500,000 homes since 1957, the company said.

Comments
KB Home this homebuilder can't even wire a home furnace correctly what makes you think that they are capable to install a vehicle charging station? You better get an extra warranty for your electric car before you attempt to plug it in. KB is currently (no pun intended) flooding the market with press releases during the trial (today) of Bruce Karatz xCEO on the start of his stock manipulation trial. Just Google "KB Home Sucks".
