Advanced Disposal acquires hauling company in Tenn.

Feb. 8 -- Advanced Disposal Services Inc. is acquiring a small hauling and disposal services company in the greater Nashville, Tenn., area.

Advanced Disposal has completed the acquisition of Waste Removal Services LLC, a move that expands its recent entry into the Middle Tennessee market, the company said.

Waste Removal Services has about 170 customers, mostly commercial.

"There´s something to be said for a family-owned business that has been handed down from generation to generation," said Gerald Greene, Advanced Disposal´s Mid-South Area president. "Our goal is to build upon Waste Removal Services´ great reputation and carry on both companies´ strong tradition of quality service and commitment to the community."

Berl Mayfield, who owned Waste Removal Services, will join Advanced Disposal.
