Republic partners with Houston Rockets, Toyota Center

Jan. 29 -- Republic Services Inc. is now the official waste and recycling partner of the Houston Rockets and the Toyota Center where they play.

A five-year agreement includes co-branding on recycling and trash receptacles within the area and in-arena branding at all events at the facility, including Rocket games, the Phoenix-based solid waste management company said.

Republic Services also will provide waste and recycling services and consultation to the arena.

"Toyota Center has been recognized as one of the country´s leading innovators of green practices among sporting and entertainment venues and this partnership with Republic Services will allow us the opportunity to grow those efforts to an even higher standard," said Houston Rockets CEO Tad Brown said.

"Our goal is to have Toyota Center recognized as the industry leader among entertainment venues and our partners at Republic Services will play a large role in helping us get there," he said.
