Recyclable pallet manufacturing site to be ready in May

March 9 -- A new 50,000 sq.-ft. recyclable pallet manufacturing site is slated to be completed in Portland, Ore., in May.

GreenLight Pallet Co. holds manufacturing and distribution rights in the United States for the UNIPAL pallet and said it plans to move manufacturing from its current production in Korea and Spain to Oregon.

The company said its pallets weigh 75% less than wooden pallets, repel water and can be made from 100 percent recycled cardboard. They also are completely recyclable at the end of their lifespan.

"Itīs a perfect time to transition into the Portland market," says Jon Girod, GreenLightīs founding member. "Our product is 100% green and fulfills our customersī growing need for increased supply chain efficiency at a reduced cost."
