Waste Pro makes largest acquisition in company history

Jan. 19 -- Waste Pro USA Inc. is making its largest acquisition ever; a move that the company says establishes a "strong profitable base" for continued growth along the Gulf Coast from Louisiana to Florida.

The Longwood, Fla.-based company is using a combination of stock and cash to acquire Delta Sanitation of Gautier, Miss.

The deal includes a residential, commercial and roll-off hauling company employing 124 people. Waste Pro also acquires a recycling facility and two landfills that accept construction and demolition debris as well as industrial waste, Waste Pro said.

Waste Pro called Delta "the predominate waste collection company in coastal Mississippi area of Biloxi and Gulfport."

"Delta is a company that has emulated Waste Pro´s standards of excellence of equipment, personnel and commitment to quality of service," said Waste Pro CEO John Jennings.
