Florida company unveils 100 percent recycled content pallet

Dec. 15 -- A Delray Beach, Fla., plastic film and bag recycler has launched its first product: a 100 percent recycled content pallets.

The pallet is the first in NextLife Recycling´s new line of 100 percent recycled content products made from recovered film and bags. The company recycles millions of pounds of post-consumer plastic film annually and converts the recovered material to resins at its recycling facilities in Tennessee and Michigan.

"Waste generators and durable goods manufacturers are now getting on board with all of the benefits associated with plastic film recycling," said Jeff Silver, vice president of business development for NextLife Recycling.

The company plans to open three more plastic film recycling facilities by the end of 2007, including a 90,000-sq.-ft. plant in Ontario. The other two will be in Nevada and Texas. All together, they will give the company the capacity to process 232 million pounds of post-consumer film scrap per year.
