Houston lawyer nets motorcycle auctioned by WM for charity

Dec. 13 -- A Houston attorney and philanthropist, John O´Quinn, walked away with a million-dollar Harley-Davidson motorcycle auctioned off by Waste Management Inc. for charity.

Proceeds from the Dec. 10 auction of the motorcycle, which the Houston-based waste company previously purchased via an eBay auction for $800,100, will go to the Bush Clinton Katrina Fund benefiting hurricane victims.

Proceeds from Waste Management´s original purchase of the bike went to the Red Cross International Disaster Fund to help tsunami victims.

The motorcycle was featured on NBC´s Tonight Show with Jay Leno and was signed by dozens of celebrities, including Dennis Miller and Leonardo DiCaprio.
