WCA Waste expands reach in North Carolina

April 1 -- It´s two, two and two for WCA Waste Corp., the Houston-based waste management company that has completed the acquisition of a couple of landfills, a couple of transfer stations and a couple of material recovery facilities.

The properties were acquired from MRR Southern LLC, and expand the company’s footprint in the North Carolina markets of Raleigh, Durham, Winston-Salem and Greensboro, the company said.

Acquisitions in the Raleigh area include a 211-acre landfill in Wake County, two transfer stations and a material recovery facility.

Another landfill in High Point serves the Winston-Salem and Greensboro markets, WCA Waste said.
