Web site recycles domain names of enviromental Web sites

SALT LAKE CITY (Feb. 17) -- RecycleNet Corp. is launching a new Web site to recycle old Web sites, the company said.

The site -- oldwebsites.com -- allows owners of recycling and waste Web sites to list and sell their sites to RecycleNet, the company said.

RecycleNet already operates an online trading platform for recyclable industrial materials.

"We are essentially recycling Web sites by purchasing existing sites and integrating them into the RecycleNet portal," said Paul Roszel, chairman and CEO of RecycleNet. "The online market for recyclable materials is growing at a substantial rate due to increasing global demand. Currently this market is fractured across many different Web sites and trading platforms."
