Events highlight 2 Minnesota recycling programs

Jan. 27 – The Message In A Bottle and It’s In The Bag recycling programs expansion through the state of Minnesota is being marked by special recycling events in two cities.

Operated by the Recycling Association of Minnesota and Minnesota Waste Wise, the Message in a Bottle program’s statewide expansion is being funded in part by a USDA Rural Assistance grant.

The "Get Caught Recycling" events included free giveaways to reward local residents for recycling away from home. The events will be held Feb. 3, at 4 p.m. at the Holiday Station Store, 695 Bridge St., Owatonna, Minn., and at noon at Kwik Trip, 501 West Elm Ave, Waseca, Minn.
