Black & Decker VP appointed to Call2Recycle board

Nov. 12 -- Linda Biagioni, vice president of environmental affairs for Black & Decker, has been appointed to the board of directors of Call2Recycle, a free rechargeable battery and cell phone collection program

Biagioni was selected for her depth of knowledge in the battery manufacturing industry, as well as her ongoing commitment to corporate responsibility, according to a company statement released today.

In her role as vice president of environmental affairs for Black & Decker, Biagioni is responsible for managing the environment, health and safety program for the corporation, including all environmental legal and regulatory matters. Throughout her career, she has served as chair of the Environment Management Council of the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation, chair of the International Environment Forum of the World Environment Center and a director for the Portable Rechargeable Battery Association.
