Urban Options will establish sites across the state to collect and recycle old residential and commercial thermostats, many of which contain mercury switches, for free. The nonprofit group must match at least 25% of the $50,000 Community Pollution Prevention Grant.
The location of the recycling centers and more information on the program will be available at www.urbanoptions.org.
