Freedom Waste adding three new CNG stations in Kentucky

Freedom Waste Service LLC is adding three more compressed natural gas fueling stations in Kentucky.

The Louisville, Ky.-based solid waste management company said the new stations will be in Paducah, Bowling Green and Madisonville. They will be owned and operated by Freedom Waste.

The company previously installed its first CNG station in Princeton, Ky., in 2012.

"This use of CNG in Kentucky is significant in the struggle to become energy independent. The gas is cleaner burning, is produced in the USA, and provides local jobs and economic development opportunities," Freedom Waste said in a statement.
