Veolia Environmental Services North America Corp. has a new CEO following the company's sale of its solid waste operations.
Jeff Adix becomes the new leader of the company as former CEO Richard Burke left the company to become president of Advanced Disposal Services Inc., which purchased Veolia's solid waste business for $1.91 billion.
Adix previously worked for Veolia from 2000 to 2009, including time as chief financial officer for the solid waste business.
Following the sale of Veolia ES Solid Waste Inc. to Advanced Disposal, Veolia Environmental Services continues to provide industrial cleaning and maintenance services. The company also treats, recycles and disposes of hazardous and industrial wastes in North America.
"I am very pleased to welcome back Jeff to the Veolia organization. He is a proven leader with over 20 years of management experience, both in the United States and abroad," said Jérôme Le Conte, CEO of Veolia Environmental Services based in Paris.
Adix most recently worked as vice president of audit advisory services for ManpowerGroup, a staffing company.
