Reporter Jeremy Carroll went to the launch of the U.S. EPA Sustainable Materials Management Electronics Challenge, at Vintage Tech Recyclers Inc. in Romeoville, Ill. on Sept. 20.
At the event, 10 companies, including retailers and manufacturers of electronics, agreed to only use third-party certified recyclers and publish data about the e-waste they recycle.
