AMERI-SHRED CORP. has introduced the DC Series Industrial Dust Collector for industrial paper shredders. The DC1100 is made of all-steel construction with a 1-horsepower motor. A filtration system is standard and rated at 99.99% efficiency on particles that measure 0.5 micron or greater, according to the company. ERIEZ MANUFACTURING CO. has introduced a compact, vertically designed sorting machine that can be integrated into an existing plant. The EcoTowerSort configuration consists of a Rare Earth Drum Magnet, an Eddy Current Separator, a ProSort metal Sorter and an Inductive Sensor Air Sorter. The machines is available in widths of 24 inches to 118 inches, and bottom or top blowing designs can be selected.

KOMAR INDUSTRIES INC. has introduced a transportable shredder/compactor. The EM-PSC Auger is an electromechanical unit equipped with a 100-kilowatt generator mounted on a roll-off machine bed for delivery directly to the job site. The 7.4-cubic-yard hopper accepts almost any kind of construction debris. A 40-horsepower electric motor drives an auger screw that shreds and compacts with 178,000 foot-pounds of force.

GREENPEACE has announced the release of an iPhone application for its Recycled Tissue and Toilet Paper Guide. The tool, created by 3rd Whale, gives consumers a quick and easy way to choose the greenest paper products sold at the supermarket.

KENWORTH TRUCK CO. has added an aftermarket crew cab conversion option for the Kenworth T270 and T370 medium-duty diesel-electric hybrids in pickup and delivery and utility applications. The 157-inch BBC crew cab uses a one-piece fiberglass roof with 4-inch raised rear section. The crew cab structure is aluminum, provides an additional 52 inches of length, and is 84 inches wide at the rear.
